SHONAGH MURRAY
Shonagh is an award-winning Scottish composer, writer, and musical director. She co-founded the theatre company Fearless Players with writer/director Lydia Davidson, which produced her first two shows ARMOUR: A HERSTORY OF THE SCOTTISH BARD & BURNS: A LOST LEGACY, both of which received a special commendation for score composition from Musical Theatre Review. Other theatre credits include SATURDAYS DOON THE J.M. with Lydia Davidson (Dundee Rep) and THE GREAT ELF ESCAPE: LIVE with Lydia Davidson, Jonathon O’Neill & Isaac Savage (The Ayr Gaiety). Shonagh’s new theatre piece NESSIE has been selected for development as part of Capital Theatres & Pitlochry Festival Theatres New Musical Commissioning Hub.
Shonagh studied as a singer at the University of Strathclyde before gaining an MA in Musical Directing from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
